"Dear Wright Foundation,
I would like to thank you for your finanacial support in the 2001-2 school year. I would not be in school today without your support."

Dear Ms. Smith

Thank you very much for the tuition scholarship you'vie awarded me for the 2002-2003 academic year.

I want you to know how much I appreciate this opportunity to focus on my studies at the Gage Academy of Art.

Thank you again for the honor,

Rebecca Gray

Tenaya Sims has proved an excellent investment in your foundation dollars. We believe he is one of the most dedicated and promising artists to be studying at the Academy at this time. He has the intellectual and artistic capability to go far as an artist and to make a difference in our world. We thank you again for your valuable support of the best and the brightest students at the Gage Academy
of Art
.

“I am writing to thank you for the most generous scholarship that I received from the Foundation for my studies at the Gage Academy of Art. It is now one semester into the year and I have learned a lot in the past three months of study. I wish to extend my utmost thanks to the Wright Foundation for without your generous contribution I most likely would have left school this year. Instead I have enjoyed probably my best semester yet. Hopefully the rest of the year will go as well as it has so far. I would like to thank you again and extend my very best wishes for the holiday season.”

“I'm honored to be the recipient of the Wright Foundation Scholarship as a student of Seattle Academy of Fine Art...It is my belief that a solid grasp of artistic fundamentals leads to greater possibility of expression. Ultimately the strength of a work of art rests upon its ability to communicate something meaningful, and at the Academy I am assembling my core artistic vocabulary. I will then endeavor to build an artistic career that will rest upon the lessons of the past but will speak of our times, and will contribute in a meaningful way to our culture and humanity.”

Joshua Langstaff

Joshua is a full-time art student in the Classical Atelier and his work reflects the rigorous 19th century training that he is receiving under his instructor, Juliette Aristides. As he has just completed his first year in this program, you can see that he has submitted drawings for consideration for his Wright scholarship.
